Role Overview:
A leading Philadelphia Service Organization and Federally Qualified Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support compassionate primary care across clinics. Leveraging exceptional clinical and customer service talents, the ideal candidate will room patients, gather vitals, conduct screenings, process labs, administer injections, prepare visits, and promote positive experiences through tailored interventions for vulnerable groups.
Compensation: $24.00 / HR Location: Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania Schedule: Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm
Responsibilities:
• Pre-triaging patients and documenting chief complaints
• Obtaining vital signs and anthropometric data
• Processing labs, urine tests and drug screens
• Administering injections as ordered
• Stocking rooms and replenishing clinical supplies
• Scheduling appointments and uploading scans
• Partnering closely with care teams
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of accredited MA program preferred
• 1-2 years medical office experience
• Comfort drawing blood and starting IVs
• Exceptional customer service abilities
• Interest in substance use care
