Job Overview - MSW: Mental Health Specialist:
We are looking for a dedicated professional to fill the role of Mental Health Specialist, which includes significant fieldwork, primarily conducting home visitations to individuals with severe mental illness and homelessness in Philadelphia County. This position requires providing clinical supervision, service coordination, and direct supportive therapy within the community.
Compensation: $27 per hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as theMSW: Mental Health Specialist:
Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision in assessment and treatment planning, offering support to the Team Leader.
Service Coordination: Manage case management for assigned participants, including coordination and monitoring of individual treatment team activities.
Therapy and Training: Offer individual supportive therapy, social skill development, and assertiveness training to enhance participants' social activities in community settings.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all services comply with contractual obligations and agency regulations.
Qualifications for the MSW: Mental Health Specialist:
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
Post-secondary education including internships or other practical experiences in clinical or rehabilitation settings is required.
Previous experience with severe and persistent mental illnesses, fee-for-service operations, and electronic health records is strongly preferred.
Effective communication skills, ability to establish trusting relationships with participants, and competency in Microsoft Office applications.
Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Equipment Provided: Company car, laptop, and cellphone are provided.
