Job Overview - Licensed Practical Nurse:
Our client is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse with expertise in Women's Health and Pediatrics. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients in an outpatient or hospital setting, meticulously maintain patient records, and support medical care under the direction of the medical staff. Bilingual Spanish skills are essential for this position!
Location: Westchester, NY
Compensation: $40/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Including Overtime)
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Patient Care: Interview and maintain patient medical records, including health history, vital signs, and lab test results.
Laboratory Work: Perform in-house labs, collect specimens, and perform quality control per organizational protocols.
Follow-Up and Documentation: Initiate follow-up as directed by the provider, complete and update all assigned tasks and logs.
Health Teaching: Conduct health teaching as indicated by the physician and patient inquiries.
Data Collection: Collect data on patients under supervision without interpreting clinical data or acting independently on it.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Education: High school diploma/ GED required; Vocational/Technical School/Diploma Program in Nursing preferred.
Licensure: Valid New York State LPN License.
Experience: 0-1 year of work-related experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
Certifications: CPR and Infection Control Certification.
Skills: Must be bilingual in Spanish and have experience in Women's Health & Pediatrics in an outpatient or hospital setting.
