Job Overview - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Wharton, NJ, providing nursing and direct care services for individuals with disabilities living in the community. The role involves teaching individuals how to acquire essential skills for independent living and ensuring their overall well-being.
Location: Wharton, NJ
Compensation: $40/hour
Schedules: Flexible weekday hours with evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Direct Care: Provide nursing care, administer medication, and assist with daily living skills.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate documentation of care and activities.
Medical Support: Accompany individuals to medical appointments and implement prescribed diets and exercise programs.
Training & Environment: Assist in training support staff and ensure a clean, safe environment for individuals.
Team Collaboration: Work with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to support individuals' self-esteem and social capital.
Compliance: Complete required residential training and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Education & Licensing: Graduate of an accredited Nursing School; LPN. Licensed in the State of New Jersey.
Experience: One year of experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (preferred).
Skills: Basic computer literacy, proficient in English communication, ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds, and ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, and stand for extended periods.
