Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (Part-Time):
Compensation: $30/hour
Location: Ocean County, NJ
Schedule: Saturdays only, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Double Shift)


Join our healthcare client in Ocean County, NJ, as a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse, providing weekend care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Deliver hands-on nursing, support daily living tasks, and maintain accurate documentation. Perfect for an experienced LPN comfortable with residential settings and double shifts.

Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (Part-Time):
  • Nursing Care: Deliver both routine and emergency medical care to individuals in residential settings, ensuring health and safety.
  • Medication & Treatment: Administer prescribed medications and implement medically approved diets, exercise routines, and treatments.
  • Support & Supervision: Assist with daily living activities and provide guidance to support staff on health maintenance procedures.
  • Documentation & Coordination: Maintain accurate records (MARs, incident reports, behavioral logs) and accompany individuals to medical appointments.
  • Environment & Safety: Promote a clean, safe, and supportive living environment, including driving agency vehicles during assigned shifts.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Part-Time):
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New Jersey required.
  • Certification: CPR and First Aid certification preferred; completion of required residential and crisis training upon hire.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting.
  • Attributes: Compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to respond to individual needs effectively.
  • Transportation: Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and be comfortable operating agency vehicles.
