Job Overview - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Take on a key role as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with our client in Metuchen, NJ, where you’ll deliver compassionate, hands-on patient care within a supportive team setting. Working under the guidance of an RN, you’ll focus on ensuring safety and providing essential care to patients to promote their well-being and recovery.
Compensation: $43/hour
Location: Metuchen, NJ
Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Flexible Days (Rotating Weekends)
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Patient Monitoring: Perform systematic, non-interpretable data collection on patient status (physiologic, psychosocial, cognitive).
Daily Care: Provide hygienic care, assist with ambulation and meals, and deliver pre- and post-operative care as directed.
Safety: Ensure a safe patient environment by promptly responding to call lights and notifying RNs of any changes in patient condition.
Care Adaptation: Tailor care to patient-specific needs, accounting for age, culture, language, and sensory impairments, and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with medical personnel, patients, and visitors to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
Experience: 1 year in Long-term Care or Subacute Care settings preferred.
Licensure: Active, valid New Jersey LPN license required.
Certification: Must have BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
