Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Compensation: $40/hour
Location: Hunterdon County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (40 hours/week)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Hunterdon County, NJ for our client, supporting direct nursing care, medication administration, and trauma-informed services within a youth residential treatment setting. This full-time role focuses on health monitoring, care coordination, and clinical documentation while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote safety, wellness, and continuity of care.

Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
  • Direct Nursing Care: Provide hands-on nursing care, assess youth health status, and integrate clinical findings into individualized treatment plans.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation, including MARs and required medication logs.
  • Care Coordination: Accompany youth to medical appointments and activities while supporting continuity of care and follow-up needs.
  • Trauma-Informed Support: Deliver person-centered, trauma-informed care while assisting with ADLs, hygiene, nutrition, and overall wellness.
  • Compliance & Collaboration: Participate in treatment team meetings, support quality assurance efforts, and ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program required.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) or in a residential, behavioral health, or youth-focused healthcare setting.
  • Licensure & Transportation: Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy with the ability to accurately complete electronic and written documentation.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of trauma-informed care, medication administration, behavioral support, and residential healthcare environments.
  • Skills & Attributes: Calm, compassionate, and professional caregiver with strong judgment, clear communication skills, the ability to manage crisis situations, and a person-centered approach to care.
