Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD):
Compensation: $35 - $38/hour
Location: Hunterdon County, NJ
Schedule: Weekend shifts, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM (32 hours)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD) in Hunterdon County, NJ for our client. In this on-site weekend role, you’ll provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and maintain medical and behavioral documentation while ensuring compliance with state standards. This position offers part-time weekend hours, ideal for LPNs experienced in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD):
Provide Direct Nursing Care: Administer medications, support health needs, and maintain accurate MAR documentation.
Assist with Daily Living: Help individuals with hygiene, meals, mobility, and personal care routines.
Support Medical Oversight: Attend appointments and follow treatment, diet, and exercise plans.
Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe environment and complete required incident and behavioral documentation.
Collaborate & Train: Work with the IDT and assist in training support staff on health-related procedures.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD):
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with current LPN certification.
Licensure: Active New Jersey LPN license required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy required, with knowledge of Therap or similar EHR platforms preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates compassion, reliability, and professionalism, with strong communication, multitasking, and documentation skills in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
Additional Requirements: Valid NJ driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
