Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (Developmental Disabilities Services):
Compensation: $35 – $38/hour
Location: Morris County, NJ
Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (Developmental Disabilities Services) in Morris County, NJ with our client. In this role, you’ll provide compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities include health monitoring, medication administration, and documentation in Therapp EMR. Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Direct Care: Provide compassionate nursing care focused on residents’ safety, comfort, and overall health.
Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments while maintaining documentation.
Health Monitoring: Observe, record, and report residents’ medical status and any changes to healthcare providers.
Daily Living Support: Assist residents with personal care, daily activities, and medical appointments as needed.
Training & Education: Train and support staff in health maintenance, medication administration, and infection control.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted New Jersey LPN license required.
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy with experience in electronic medical records (Therapp EMR preferred).
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IDD care standards, residential health protocols, and best practices in direct support services.
Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and reliable professional with strong communication skills.
