Job Overview - Licensed Practical Nurse:
Join our client's esteemed team in the Bronx, NY, as a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse. In this engaging role, you will provide vital nursing support services to the allergy physician, including performing allergy testing, administering injections, educating patients, and meticulously documenting care in an EMR system. This position requires the LPN to be bilingual in Spanish and English!
Location: Bronx, NY
Compensation: $32 - $42/hour
Schedule: 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Allergy Testing: Perform allergy testing and pulmonary function testing.
Injection Administration: Administer allergy injections and monitor for anaphylaxis.
Patient Education: Educate patients on allergy management and treatment plans.
Documentation: Document patient care in the EMR system and obtain necessary authorizations.
Age Range: Work comfortably with patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Licensure: Current NY LPN license.
Language Skills: Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Technical Skills: Competent in working with computers.
Personal Skills: Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and time management skills including organization, multitasking, prioritization, and resourcefulness.
