Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (Adolescent Care)
Compensation: $42/hour 
Location: New York, NY 
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (Adolescent Care) in New York, NY for our client, supporting patient care, care coordination, and clinical services for adolescents in residential and foster care settings. In this role, you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. You will maintain accurate documentation and deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (Adolescent Care):
  • Patient Assessment: Assess the health needs of adolescents through direct interactions and ongoing evaluations.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and monitor patient responses to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Care Coordination: Develop and manage care plans while coordinating with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Adolescent Care):
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program is required.
  • Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York is required.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in adolescent care, behavioral health, or residential care settings is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care coordination, and trauma-informed care principles is required.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to maintain accurate documentation and work with clinical systems is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
