Job Overview – Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000/year Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting outpatient behavioral health services through clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy. This role provides individual and group therapy to clients with mental health and substance use needs while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and coordinating crisis support. The position also requires on-site availability every other Saturday.
Responsibilities as the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment and aftercare plans.
Therapy Services: Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's clinical needs.
Caseload Management: Manage an active outpatient caseload while maintaining established service, documentation, and productivity expectations.
Crisis Intervention: Assess and respond to behavioral health emergencies, coordinate appropriate interventions, and develop safety plans for high-risk clients.
Treatment Planning: Engage clients in goal setting, behavioral health education, and ongoing treatment decisions to promote recovery and accountability.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate clinical records while collaborating with multidisciplinary team members on client care.
Qualifications for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Education: Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
Licensure: Active New York State LCSW license is required.
Experience: Clinical experience providing psychotherapy, behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention is required.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of DSM-based diagnosis, trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, psychotic disorders, and evidence-based behavioral health interventions is required.
Technical Skills: Experience with electronic clinical documentation and proficiency with standard healthcare and business technology are required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and crisis management skills are required, with Spanish and English bilingual proficiency preferred.
