Job Overview - Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN):
Become a vital part of the healthcare team in White Plains, NY, as a Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN). You’ll collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, providing exceptional care while ensuring alignment with hospital policies and demonstrating leadership.
Compensation: $111,000 - $146,000/year
Location: White Plains, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Full-Time, Day Shift)
Responsibilities as the Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN):
Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to meet the biophysical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Infection Control: Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and Joint Commission safety standards.
Delegation: Delegate tasks in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
Leadership: Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications for the Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN):
Education: Must hold a BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
Licensure: Current New York RN license.
Experience:Â 1+ year of Acute Care Nursing experience preferred (especially for areas outside medical-surgical or step-down units).
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
Skills: Knowledge of current nursing, medical, and health trends in patient care.
