Job Overview - LMSW Therapist:
Join our team in Bronx, NY as an LMSW Therapist, providing professional mental health care for children and youth in Family Foster Care (FFC) and Therapeutic Family Foster Care (TFFC). You will conduct comprehensive assessments and offer treatment to address personal, behavioral, or family issues.
Location: Bronx, NY
Compensation: $40/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities of the LMSW Therapist:
Therapeutic Services & Collaboration: Provide individual, group, and family therapy; coordinate with external providers; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Documentation & Service Recommendations: Maintain accurate client records, submit timely documentation, complete treatment plans and assessments; offer service recommendations.
Crisis Intervention & Community Outreach: Implement interventions during crises, engage youth through outreach, and support the treatment team in crisis management.
Sanctuary Model & Behavioral Management: Utilize the Sanctuary Model tools, integrate the SELF framework into practice, and respond promptly to behavioral issues, ensuring safety and problem-solving.
Qualifications for the LMSW Therapist:
Certification: New York State LMSW required, LCSW eligible/preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical assessment and therapy experience.
Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Knowledge: Familiarity with trauma-based interventions, DSM-V, and diagnostic criteria.
Skills: Strong commitment to a strength-based, youth and family development, and trauma-informed perspective.
