TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (Dialysis) in Tampa, FL for our client, supporting nephrology care, dialysis patient management, and outpatient clinical services. This role works across office, dialysis, and hospital settings, providing direct patient care for individuals with renal disease. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and clinical staff, document care in EMR systems, and support continuity of treatment across multiple care environments.
Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner (Dialysis):
Patient Evaluation: Assess patients with kidney disease, review medical history, and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
Dialysis Management: Monitor dialysis patients, evaluate treatment response, and address clinical concerns related to renal care.
Office Visits: Provide outpatient follow-up care, manage chronic conditions, and educate patients on treatment plans and disease management.
Hospital Rounding: Assist with inpatient rounds, review patient status, and communicate updates to physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Care Coordination: Work closely with specialists, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure timely and effective patient care.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely charting in the EMR, including assessments, treatment updates, and care plans.
Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner (Dialysis):
Education: Master’s or higher degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or APRN program is required.
Licensure: Active Florida Nurse Practitioner or APRN license is required.
Experience: 1+ year of experience in nephrology or dialysis care is required, with stronger consideration for candidates with several years of specialty experience.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of renal disease, dialysis treatment, and chronic disease management is required.
Technical Skills: Experience using EMR systems and standard clinical documentation tools is preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, clinical judgment, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential in this patient-facing role.
