Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatrics Clinic):
Compensation: $42/hour
Location: Richmond, VA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatrics Clinic) in Richmond, VA with our client. In this role, you will deliver compassionate pediatric care, perform assessments, administer vaccines, document clinical information, and educate families on health and wellness. This position involves rotating between multiple Richmond clinic locations and offers a collaborative, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatrics Clinic):
Clinical Assessment: Evaluate pediatric patients, monitor vital signs, and communicate findings to providers.
Patient Triage: Assess and prioritize care based on symptoms, history, and urgency.
Vaccination Administration: Administer vaccines and maintain compliance with immunization schedules.
Documentation: Record assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately in the EMR system.
Patient & Family Education: Educate children and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, and preventive health.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatrics Clinic):
Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Licensure & Certification: Active Virginia LPN license and current CPR/BLS certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in pediatrics, family medicine, or a related healthcare setting.
Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer applications.
Industry Knowledge: Skilled in pediatric patient assessment, vaccination protocols, and care coordination.
Skills & Attributes: Compassionate and detail-oriented professional with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively in diverse healthcare environments.
