Job Overview – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time):
Compensation: $80 – $85/hour
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time) in Queens, NY for our client. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive pediatric primary care to children and adolescents in foster care, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being. You’ll perform medical evaluations, manage acute and chronic conditions, and promote preventive health using the AccuMed EMR system. Ideal for compassionate clinicians dedicated to improving long-term outcomes in pediatric care.

Responsibilities as the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time):
  • Patient Care: Perform comprehensive evaluations, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments using AccuMed EMR.
  • Preventive Health: Administer immunizations, screenings, and checkups per AAP and NYC ACS guidelines.
  • Acute & Chronic Care: Diagnose and treat acute conditions while managing chronic illnesses and care plans.
  • Care Coordination: Initiate referrals and collaborate with specialists, inpatient providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Documentation: Complete accurate, timely medical records, forms, and reports in compliance with pediatric standards.
Qualifications for the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time):
  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited U.S. institution required.
  • Licensure & Certification: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses required (Board Certification in Pediatrics preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatrics, ideally within foster care or underserved populations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in EMR systems (AccuMed experience preferred) and standard medical office software.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of pediatric developmental stages, preventive care guidelines, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional with exceptional communication skills and a commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
