Job Overview – Workers Compensation Physician (PM&R):
Compensation: $250,000 – $350,000/year
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM


Our client is seeking a Workers Compensation Physician (PM&R) in Queens, NY, to manage work-related and auto accident injuries under Workers’ Comp and No-Fault Insurance. This full-time role includes diagnosing pain conditions, designing customized rehab plans, and partnering with a multidisciplinary team to restore function. Ideal candidates bring proven experience with injury evaluation, Workers’ Comp compliance, and pain management strategies.

Responsibilities as the Workers Compensation Physician (PM&R):
  • Patient Assessment: Perform thorough physical exams and diagnostics to evaluate injury-related conditions and pain sources.
  • Rehabilitation Planning: Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function and mobility.
  • Pain Management: Administer injections and prescribe medications to effectively manage acute and chronic pain.
  • Patient Education: Communicate diagnoses and provide guidance on therapeutic exercises, nutrition, and recovery expectations.
  • Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and compliant records of evaluations, treatments, and medications.
  • Collaborative Care: Coordinate with specialists and case managers to ensure effective, integrated care under Workers’ Comp protocols.
Qualifications for the Workers Compensation Physician (PM&R):
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Active New York State medical license is required.
  • Certification: Must be Workers’ Compensation Authorized (Acupuncture license preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of clinical experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a strong background in work-related and motor vehicle injury cases.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with EMR systems and experience managing medical documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Skills & Attributes: Empathetic and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to care.
