TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN) in Philadelphia, PA for our client. In this weekend role, you’ll provide compassionate nursing care to individuals in addiction recovery within a secure correctional setting. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessments, and documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Ideal for LPNs seeking hands-on experience in correctional health and addiction treatment.
Responsibilities as the Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN):
Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications per medical orders, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.
Patient Care: Perform nursing assessments, monitor withdrawal symptoms, and coordinate with providers on treatment needs.
Documentation: Accurately record patient information, medication logs, and treatment notes in compliance with facility standards.
Emergency Response: Deliver first aid and crisis intervention to ensure patient safety during urgent situations.
Collaboration: Partner with physicians, counselors, and nursing staff to support integrated addiction and behavioral health care.
Qualifications for the Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN):
Licensure: Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
Certification: CPR certification required.
Experience: Prior experience in addiction treatment, pharmacotherapy, or correctional healthcare required.
Technical Skills: Proficient in basic computer applications, including Word, Excel, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of addiction-related medical conditions, withdrawal management, and general nursing procedures.
Skills & Attributes: Compassionate and reliable nurse with strong clinical judgment, communication, and adaptability.
