Job Overview – Registered Nurse (Endoscopy) Compensation: $58 – $63/hour Location: New York, NY Schedule: Four 10-Hour Shifts (In-Office)
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Registered Nurse (Endoscopy) in New York, NY for our client, supporting patient care, procedural assistance, and recovery services within an ambulatory endoscopy environment. This role will assist with patient admissions, procedure room support, recovery monitoring, and clinical coordination while partnering closely with physicians, nursing staff, and clinical leadership. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced within endoscopy, ambulatory surgery, or perioperative care environments.
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse:
Patient Admissions: Perform pre-procedure assessments, obtain vital signs, initiate IV access, and provide patient education and emotional support.
Procedure Room Support: Assist physicians during procedures, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and ensure accurate procedural documentation.
Recovery Room Care: Monitor post-procedure recovery, provide discharge education, coordinate follow-up care, and ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
Quality & Compliance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and clinical documentation standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with physicians, nursing staff, and clinical leadership to support efficient patient care and daily center operations.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing education is required.
Certifications: Active New York State RN license and ACLS certification are required, BLS certification is accepted.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience within endoscopy, surgery, ambulatory surgery center, operating room, or related clinical environments is required.
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience within admitting, procedure room, recovery room, or GI/endoscopy environments is preferred.
Technical Skills: Experience utilizing patient monitoring equipment, clinical documentation systems, and procedural equipment is preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced clinical environments are required.
