Job Overview – Speech Language Pathologist:
Compensation: $48 – $58/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist in New York, NY for our client. In this role, you’ll assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in young children. You’ll develop individualized therapy plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure documentation meets ASHA and NYS standards. Ideal for compassionate clinicians seeking to make an impact in a collaborative pediatric care environment.

Responsibilities as the Speech Language Pathologist:
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct screenings and evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing abilities in preschool-aged children.
  • Therapeutic Planning: Develop and implement individualized therapy programs tailored to each child’s communication and feeding needs.
  • Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to align goals, share progress, and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records including evaluations, progress notes, and IEP documentation.
  • Family Support: Educate and guide parents and caregivers while advocating for each child’s developmental growth.
Qualifications for the Speech Language Pathologist:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Experience: Pediatric or early childhood experience strongly preferred.
  • Licensure: Active New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Certification: NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) or Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) certification required.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ASHA guidelines, early intervention strategies, and evidence-based therapy methods.
  • Skills & Attributes: Empathetic and organized clinician with strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, effective in dynamic educational settings.
