Job Overview – Overnight RN/LPN (Adult IDD):
Compensation: $35 – $45/hour (Dependent on experience)
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Three 12-hour overnight shifts (7 PM–7 AM) with rotating weekday and weekend coverage
TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Overnight RN/LPN (Adult IDD) in Montgomery County, PA, with our client. In this role, you’ll provide overnight nursing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community residential homes. You will manage complex medical needs, monitor residents throughout the night, and collaborate with support staff to ensure safety and stability. Ideal for nurses with trach, respiratory support, and enteral tube experience.
Responsibilities as the Overnight RN/LPN (Adult IDD):
Direct Nursing Care: Provide overnight assessments, monitoring, medication administration, and thorough documentation.
Medical Management: Support individuals with tracheostomies, G/J/suprapubic tubes, colostomy care, oxygen therapy, and CPAP/BiPAP equipment.
Clinical Assessments: Conduct routine health checks, identify changes in condition, and initiate interventions or emergency protocols.
Equipment Oversight: Monitor respiratory devices, mobility equipment, and adaptive technology for safe overnight use.
Care Coordination: Communicate with day staff and supervisors to ensure accurate handoffs, continuity of care, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications for the Overnight RN/LPN (Adult IDD):
Licensure: Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with prior work in IDD, home care, group homes, or long-term care.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience managing tracheostomies, enteral feeding tubes (G/J/suprapubic), oxygen therapy, and CPAP/BiPAP without onsite Respiratory Therapist support.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IDD residential settings, emergency response protocols, and person-centered care.
Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented nurse with strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently overnight, and excellent communication skills.
