Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD) – Part-Time
Compensation: $42/hour
Location: Hershey, PA
Schedule: Part-Time, Weekends (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD) in Hershey, PA for our client. In this part-time, weekend-only role, you will provide direct nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential or skilled setting, including medication administration and health monitoring. This role is ideal for an LPN with IDD or skilled nursing experience who is comfortable working independently on weekends.

Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD):
  • Nursing Care & Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and document care in accordance with clinical standards.
  • Health Monitoring & Clinical Assessment: Observe, assess, and report changes in condition, escalating concerns appropriately to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.
  • Care Coordination & Team Collaboration: Collaborate with RNs, physicians, caregivers, and support staff to implement individualized care plans for IDD populations.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate clinical documentation, medication records, and incident reports in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
  • Resident Support & Safety: Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment while supporting daily living needs and behavioral or medical interventions as required.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD):
  • Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Pennsylvania required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of clinical nursing experience required, with prior experience in IDD, SNF, long-term care, or residential settings strongly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with IDD care models, medication administration, and person-centered care practices.
  • Technical Skills: Competency in medication administration, clinical documentation, and basic nursing procedures.
  • Skills & Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently during weekend shifts.
