TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Clinical Nutrition Specialist (Home Infusion) in Fort Lauderdale, FL for our client. This on-site role supports parenteral nutrition referral growth across hospitals, physician practices, and post-acute care settings while driving home infusion onboarding, payer authorization, and ACHC compliance. Ideal candidates are Registered Dietitians with active Florida licensure and 2+ years of parenteral nutrition or home infusion experience.
Responsibilities as the Clinical Nutrition Specialist (Home Infusion):
Referral Development & Territory Growth: Call on hospitals, physicians, clinics, and skilled nursing facilities to generate parenteral nutrition referrals and expand market presence.
Clinical Education & Provider Engagement: Serve as a clinical expert on parenteral nutrition, delivering in-services and educational support to providers and care teams.
Patient Onboarding & Coordination: Support referral management, obtain required documentation, verify payer eligibility, and ensure safe transition to home infusion services.
Regulatory & Intake Compliance: Oversee intake processes to ensure compliance with ACHC standards, government regulations, and payer requirements.
Nutrition Support Collaboration: Participate in nutrition support team meetings and coordinate plans of care to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications for the Clinical Nutrition Specialist (Home Infusion):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related clinical field required (advanced clinical training preferred).
Licensure & Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) required with active Florida State licensure and current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Experience: 2+ years of experience in parenteral nutrition, home infusion, or clinical nutrition support within hospital or specialty pharmacy settings required.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of home infusion workflows, payer qualification requirements, ACHC accreditation standards, and interdisciplinary nutrition support practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, consultative sales, and presentation skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, exercise professional judgment, maintain confidentiality, and build collaborative relationships in a dynamic healthcare environment.
