Job Overview – Manager of Medical Operations (Behavioral Health Services):
Compensation: $85,000 – $120,000/year
Location: Flint, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Manager of Medical Operations (Behavioral Health Services) in Flint, MI for our client. This leadership role oversees psychiatric medication clinics and behavioral health programs, ensuring efficient, compliant patient care. You’ll manage budgets, implement policies, and collaborate with providers to improve service delivery. Ideal candidates have experience in behavioral health, clinical management, and healthcare operations.
Responsibilities as the Manager of Medical Operations:
Program Oversight: Direct psychiatric medication clinics and specialty behavioral health programs for adult, child, and Behavioral Health Home services.
Policy & Compliance: Develop and implement clinical and administrative policies to ensure quality care and regulatory adherence.
Strategic Planning: Lead budgeting, performance tracking, and long-term operational planning to meet organizational goals.
Staff Leadership: Supervise and mentor clinical teams, fostering accountability and continuous professional growth.
Collaboration: Partner with management and community providers to enhance coordinated, patient-centered behavioral health services.
Qualifications for the Manager of Medical Operations:
Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
Licensure & Certification: Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan required.
Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health, focusing on severe mental illness or developmental disabilities, with prior management experience preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of medication management, crisis intervention, and behavioral health care delivery systems.
Skills & Attributes: Strategic leader with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, adept at managing clinical and administrative priorities.
