Job Overview – Urgent Care Physician:
Compensation: $250,000 – $350,000/year (based on experience)
Location: Davidson County, NC
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM


Our client is hiring an Urgent Care Physician in Davidson County, NC, to provide walk-in care for patients of all ages with acute, non-emergency medical needs. In this fast-paced role, you’ll interpret EKGs, perform urgent care procedures, support clinical decisions, and educate patients. This full-time position is ideal for board-certified physicians in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities as the Urgent Care Physician:
  • Acute Care & Procedures: Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions and perform procedures like suturing, splinting, and abscess drainage.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Interpret EKGs, labs, and imaging to inform treatment and referral decisions.
  • Patient Communication: Explain diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans clearly and compassionately.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient care and documentation.
  • Flexible Coverage: Provide care during weekend and extended hours in alignment with the clinic’s schedule.
Qualifications for the Urgent Care Physician:
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid and unrestricted North Carolina medical license and DEA registration.
  • Certification: Must hold ACLS certification and be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Experience: 2+ years in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice, with proven ability to interpret EKGs and manage high patient volumes.
  • Technical Skills: Strong skills in EHR documentation and diagnostic interpretation are required, and familiarity with VelociDoc EMR system is highly preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Patient-centered, confident, and efficient, with strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
