Job Overview – Pharmacy Technician (Sterile Compounding):
Compensation: $22/hour
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexible day and night shifts available


Become a key part of our client’s compounding pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician (Sterile Compounding) in Chester County, PA, where you'll assist in the preparation of sterile medications in a cleanroom environment. This role focuses on accuracy, compliance, and safety across all aspects of USP <797> compounding. You’ll support pharmacy operations by preparing IV medications, maintaining sterile lab conditions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities as the Pharmacy Technician:
  • Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Prep: Prepare sterile IV medications using proper aseptic technique and under direct pharmacist supervision.
  • USP <797> Compliance: Ensure all procedures follow USP <797> and <800> guidelines, including appropriate PPE and cleanroom practices.
  • Quality Assurance & Documentation: Maintain accurate batch records, complete logs, and support QA processes and environmental monitoring.
  • Inventory Control: Track sterile compounding supplies, manage raw material usage, and support cleanroom inventory rotation.
  • Technology & Workflow: Utilize pharmacy systems such as PK Software (The Compounder), maintain labeling accuracy, and collaborate with pharmacy staff for efficient fulfillment.
Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of production or manufacturing experience, preferably in a cleanroom, with compounding experience preferred.
  • Certification: Completion of sterile compounding training and continuing education is required, with PTCB, CPhT, or state-issued certification preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with preferred experience using The Compounder (PK Software).
  • Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, dependable, and skilled in following SOPs in a safety-critical, fast-paced setting.
