TAG MedStaffing is urgently hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, supporting speech therapy services within DOE-aligned school settings for the upcoming school year. This role offers flexible placement options across public, private, and charter schools, with opportunities for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs). You will provide therapy, manage IEP documentation, and collaborate with school staff while following the academic calendar.
Responsibilities as the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):
Therapy Delivery: Provide speech and language therapy services to students within school-based environments.
IEP Management: Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans and progress reports.
Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic records of therapy sessions and student progress.
Collaboration: Communicate therapy plans and updates with teachers, staff, and related service providers.
Assessment: Conduct evaluations and monitor student performance to adjust therapy strategies.
Compliance: Ensure services align with DOE guidelines and educational standards.
Qualifications for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):
Education: Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field is required.
Licensure: Active New York State SLP license or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship is required.
Certification: TSSLD certification is required or must be obtained.
Experience: Prior school-based experience or completion of a Clinical Fellowship is required.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IEP processes and DOE-aligned therapy practices is required.
Technical Skills: Experience with electronic documentation systems and standard office tools is preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a school setting.
