Job Overview – Clinical Coordinator (LMSW)
Compensation: $64,000 – $68,000/year
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Clinical Coordinator (LMSW) in Brooklyn, NY for our client, providing clinical leadership and supervision to Case Managers supporting individuals in transitional housing and community-based programs. This in-office role oversees service delivery using Housing First, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, CPI, and trauma-informed care models while driving staff development, documentation quality, and positive housing stability outcomes.

Responsibilities as the Clinical Coordinator (LMSW):
  • Clinical Supervision & Staff Development: Supervise and support a team of Case Managers through regular individual and group supervision, coaching, and performance guidance.
  • Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight: Provide clinical direction across the program by troubleshooting complex cases, strengthening client engagement, and addressing challenging behaviors.
  • Service Planning & Documentation Oversight: Oversee the development and execution of individualized service plans while ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive clinical documentation.
  • Crisis Intervention & De-escalation: Guide frontline staff in crisis response, risk assessment, and conflict de-escalation using trauma-informed and CPI-aligned approaches.
  • Care Coordination & Housing Focus: Collaborate with outreach teams and external providers to coordinate care, promote housing readiness, and support long-term housing stability.
Qualifications for the Clinical Coordinator (LMSW):
  • Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working with related populations, with prior supervisory or administrative experience strongly preferred.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Housing First, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, behavioral health systems, and crisis intervention practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams, with the ability to learn Access-based databases and new systems.
  • Skills & Attributes: Effective communicator with strong leadership and delegation skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and success working with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
