Job Overview – Administrative Assistant (Social Services Program):
Compensation: $18/hour
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Administrative Assistant (Social Services Program) in Brooklyn, NY for our client. In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for participants and visitors, providing administrative support and managing daily office operations. You’ll handle confidential information, maintain records, and assist staff to ensure smooth program coordination in a community-focused environment.
Responsibilities as the Administrative Assistant (Social Services Program):
Front Office Management: Greet visitors, answer calls, and direct inquiries while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
Clerical Support: Perform general office duties including photocopying, mailing, filing, and handling deliveries.
Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Accurately update participant information in Excel and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Communication: Draft, edit, and manage correspondence, reports, and scheduling with staff and external partners.
Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle sensitive information per HIPAA and agency guidelines, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Qualifications for the Administrative Assistant (Social Services Program):
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of administrative or office support experience, ideally in a nonprofit or social services environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with preferred experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) or data management systems.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with social services programs, community resources, or case management support preferred.
Skills & Attributes: Organized and dependable professional with strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills.
Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
