Job Overview – Infectious Disease Physician (HIV Program):
Compensation: $210,000 – $222,000/year
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Join our client’s mission-driven HIV care program in Bronx, NY as an Infectious Disease Physician, delivering full-time outpatient treatment, prevention, and education. This role is ideal for a board-certified or board-eligible physician who thrives in collaborative settings, providing direct patient care, mentoring clinical staff, and supporting program development alongside leadership and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities as the Infectious Disease Physician:
  • Comprehensive HIV Care: Diagnose, treat, and manage HIV-positive patients with a focus on medication adherence and ongoing follow-up.
  • Clinical Consultation: Act as an internal ID expert, collaborating with primary care and specialty teams on complex cases.
  • Program Support: Work with leadership to expand HIV services and improve clinical delivery.
  • Education & Mentorship: Precept trainees and support staff with clinical guidance and HIV care best practices.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity, adherence, and access to supportive services.
Qualifications for the Infectious Disease Physician:
  • Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution required.
  • Licensure: Current license to practice medicine in New York State required.
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience required, with a background in HIV care and community health.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and knowledge of antiretroviral therapies and HIV treatment guidelines.
  • Skills & Attributes: Patient-focused, collaborative, and passionate about health equity with strong communication and teaching abilities.
