Job Overview – Direct Support Professional (Per Diem):
Compensation: $25/hour
Location: Bennington, VT
Schedule: Per Diem, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Direct Support Professional (Per Diem) in Bennington, VT. In this role, you’ll provide compassionate, hands-on care to individuals with developmental and behavioral needs, promoting independence and community inclusion. You’ll assist with daily activities, transportation, and engagement programs while collaborating with care teams to ensure quality support.
Responsibilities as the Direct Support Professional:
Client Support: Facilitate recreational and community-based activities that build skills, confidence, and inclusion.
Supervision & Care: Serve as a positive role model while following individualized treatment and support plans.
Community Integration: Assist clients in participating in local activities and provide transportation as needed.
Crisis Response: Remain calm and responsive during crises, coordinating with supervisors and clinical staff.
Documentation: Maintain accurate progress notes, reports, and time records to ensure compliance and quality care.
Qualifications for the Direct Support Professional:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1+ years of experience delivering direct care or behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.
Technical Skills: Proficient in documentation, reporting, and basic computer applications.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of behavioral support strategies, person-centered planning, and community-based care.
Skills & Attributes: Compassionate and reliable professional with strong communication, teamwork, and confidentiality skills.
