Job Overview - Healthcare Administrator:
Join our client in Mercer County, NJ, as a Healthcare Administrator overseeing medical support services and personnel at a correctional facility. This full-time role ensures compliance with NCCHC and state standards while coordinating with the Site Medical Director.

Compensation: $115,000 - $165,000/year
Location: Mercer County, NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday (35 Hours/Week)


Responsibilities as the Healthcare Administrator:
  • Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day health service unit activities, ensuring compliance with NCCHC and other standards.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Site Medical Director and Medical Audit Committee with operational and clinical management.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Coordinate recruitment, selection, and staff scheduling in collaboration with Talent Acquisition and HR.
  • Management: Enforce policies, conduct regular staff meetings, and ensure proper employee orientation.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the financial performance of the contracted site, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising care.
  • Reporting & Coordination: Prepare monthly reports, communicate with institutional authorities, and manage third-party contracts as necessary.
Qualifications for the Healthcare Administrator:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (Master’s preferred: MHA, MBA, or similar).
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
  • Experience: 3+ years of Management or Supervisory experience in healthcare (correctional healthcare experience preferred).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Skills: Strong clinical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead in emergency situations.
  • Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
