Job Overview – Forensic Social Worker (LCSW)
We're seeking a Forensic Social Worker (LCSW) to join our healthcare client's team in New Jersey. The role involves handling diverse forensic and clinical cases, focusing on record review, report writing, clinical interviewing, and psychotherapy, including trauma therapy and court-ordered treatments.
Location: Mercer County, NJ
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Forensic Social Worker (LCSW):
Record Review & Report Writing: Conduct intensive record reviews and create detailed summaries and reports for forensic mental health cases across civil, criminal, fitness for duty, and family law areas.
Clinical/Forensic Interviewing: Engage in interviews to gather comprehensive case details and provide insights into forensic and clinical cases.
Psychotherapy: Manage a psychotherapy caseload, including behavioral medicine, trauma therapy, and court-ordered family court cases, with a focus on DBT, CBT, and other therapeutic approaches.
Social Work Mitigation: Handle social work mitigation cases within the practice.
Therapeutic Techniques: Utilize techniques such as EMDR and biofeedback when applicable.
Qualifications for the Forensic Social Worker (LCSW):
Education: Master's Degree in Social Work accredited by CSWE.
Licensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the NJ State Board of Social Work Examiners.
Experience: Trauma-based therapy for PTSD is preferred.
