Job Overview – Family Services Program Supervisor:
Join our client as a Family Services Program Supervisor in New York, NY, overseeing case planners and support staff to deliver solution-focused services for families. Ensure child safety, guide staff on agency practices, provide clinical oversight, and maintain compliance with program mandates and quality standards.

Compensation: $34 - $37/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Responsibilities as the Family Services Program Supervisor:
  • Clinical Oversight: Participate in Clinical Diagnostic Team (CDT) meetings, handling case-related crises and ensuring decisions align with best practices and contractual requirements.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide weekly coaching to case planners, strengthening their skills in Solution-Based Casework (SBC) and Motivational Interviewing, and supporting professional development.
  • Case Management: Support staff during home visits, case conferences, and risk and safety assessments, ensuring timely and accurate completion of mandated reports and documentation.
  • Program Implementation: Facilitate integration of SBC and Motivational Interviewing in assessments, outcome planning, and action development for families and individuals.
  • Administrative Coordination: Lead monthly staff meetings, ensure efficient unit procedures, and manage the utilization of State and City databases.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct monthly case reviews, use clinical reviews and satisfaction surveys to assess service delivery quality, and facilitate Family Team Conferences.
Qualifications for the Family Services Program Supervisor:
  • Education: Master’s degree required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of Supervisory experience in Preventive or Foster Care services.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills (bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus).
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, NYS Connections, and Promis systems.
  • Attributes: Commitment to strength-based, youth and family development perspectives (familiarity with Solution-Based Casework model preferred).
