Role Overview:
Join our client’s team as a Physician in Brooklyn, NY, conducting medical evaluations to support the clinical assessment process and make functional capacity outcome determinations for customers. The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant with five years of experience in conducting medical evaluations resulting in functional capacity outcome determinations.
Compensation: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00Â
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Responsibilities:Â
•   Conducting medical evaluations to support the clinical assessment process and make functional capacity outcome determinations for customers
•   Completing activities such as reviewing customer documentation, conducting medical reviews and physical examinations, reassessing customers' needs for reasonable accommodations, determining appropriate diagnoses, and completing SSA sequential evaluation processes
•   Ordering and using results of additional assessments (medical, mental health or substance abuse-related) in evaluating customers' functional capacity
•   Making and justifying Functional Capacity Outcome (FCO) determinations for customers
•   Collaborating with service track staff to interpret medical evaluation findings or documents that affect service planning and delivery
•   Participating in team meetings to evaluate and improve clinical assessment processes
•   Attending required training related to the position and its responsibilities
•   Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures related to the clinical assessment process and physician review requirements
Qualifications:
•   Licensed physician in the state of practice, or alternatively, a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant under the supervision of an MD, with training in internal medicine, family practice, physical medicine, rehabilitation, or other approved medical disciplines
•   Five (5) years of experience in conducting medical evaluations resulting in functional capacity outcome determinations
•   Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance-driven
•   Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
•   Experience with publicly-funded programs; TANF experience preferable
•   Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities
•   Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities
