Role Overview:
The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for equipment care and maintenance, assisting physicians during procedures, ordering supplies, and supporting nursing staff with patient care throughout the admitting, recovery, and discharge process. Strong knowledge of infection control and familiarity with endoscopy equipment is essential.
Compensation:$29.00 - $32.00 / HR Location: Manhattan, New York Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 am- 5 pm; Open 2 Saturdays / month

Responsibilities:
Escort patients to restrooms and procedure areas
Connect patients to monitors and operate equipment
Assist with patient preparation for procedures
Assist the physician during procedures if qualified
Set up procedure rooms (excluding medications)
Clean and disinfect rooms between procedures
Transfer specimens to Pathology pick-up
Follow safety measures and emergency protocols
Assist patients with post-procedure needs
Provide nourishment to patients
Qualifications:
High school graduate, BCLS certified
1+ years medical experience, GI knowledge preferred
Meet state and OSHA standards
Experience with endoscope reprocessing
Excellent infection control knowledge
Equipment maintenance experience a plus
