Job Overview – Endoscopy Technician (Gastroenterology):
Compensation: $28 – $33/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts per week (typically 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM)

In this full-time role, you will support gastroenterology procedures by preparing equipment, assisting physicians during endoscopic exams, and maintaining strict infection control standards. Responsibilities as the Endoscopy Technician (Gastroenterology):
Procedure Preparation: Set up procedure rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and functioning properly.
Clinical Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures with patient positioning, equipment handling, and specimen collection.
Endoscope Care: Clean, disinfect, and store endoscopes and related instruments following strict infection control protocols.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily equipment checks, record maintenance logs, and report or coordinate repairs as needed.
Inventory Management: Monitor and restock supplies to ensure procedure rooms remain fully equipped and organized.
Qualifications for the Endoscopy Technician (Gastroenterology):
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician or in a related clinical support role.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of endoscopy procedures, infection control practices, and proper handling of medical equipment.
