Job Overview - Employment Specialist:
Join our client's team as an Employment Specialist in Brooklyn, NY. This role involves providing educational, vocational, and employment support services to individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and co-occurring substance use disorders, focusing on their recovery and stability.
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $60,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Employment Specialist:
Lead clinical groups and participate in team meetings.
Complete required documentation and reports.
Collaborate with clients' support networks and service providers.
Offer culturally competent, trauma-informed, and evidence-based clinical services.
Provide 24-hour crisis intervention on a rotating basis.
Qualifications for the Employment Specialist:
MHC-LP, LMSW, LMHC, LCSW with a current New York State license.
Experience with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatment models.
Preferred experience with the criminal legal system.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and a team player.
Proficient in computer skills.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
