Job Overview - Director of Mental Health Services (LCSW):
Our client is seeking a Director of Mental Health Services to oversee and coordinate mental health services for foster and treatment family foster care participants. You will supervise Mental Health clinicians and collaborate with external providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000/year Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Director of Mental Health Services:
Supervision: Supervise and review the work of Mental Health clinicians.
Collaboration: Work closely with foster care, care coordination, and health services staff to ensure alignment of FASP goals with Mental Health Treatment Plans.
Intake Coordination: Manage and supervise the intake process for mental health referrals, both internally and externally.
Liaison: Act as the primary liaison with ACS’ Mental Health Coordination Unit and external mental health providers.
Treatment Planning: Lead treatment meetings, coordinate evaluations, and ensure integration of psychosocial, psychiatric, and psychological assessments.
Qualifications for the Director of Mental Health Services:
Education: NYS LCSW or PMHNP-BC required.
Experience: 3+ years in a Supervisory role in Child Welfare/ACS or Foster Care.
Certifications: SIFI required.
Skills: Familiarity with Medicaid Managed Care, strong communication, and EHR proficiency.
Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
