Job Overview - Dental Assistant:
Our healthcare client in New York, is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support Dentists and Hygienists. In this role, you will prepare and dismantle operatories for patient treatment, ensuring compliance with systems and job-specific standards.
Location: Westchester, NY
Compensation: $25/hour
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Including Overtime)
Responsibilities as the Dental Assistant:
- Assistance: Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care.
- Patient Coordination: Check-in patients and notify providers of their presence.
- Chart Management: Monitor and update charts, enter appointment data, and maintain comprehensive medical records.
- Appointment Data: Record daily patient appointment data to collect monthly dental statistics accurately.
- Radiograph Handling: Take and process radiographs as directed.
- Infection Control: Follow OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
- Laboratory Duties: Maintain the dental laboratory, process instruments, and monitor lab cases.
- Equipment Maintenance: Follow weekly and monthly maintenance procedures for all sterilization equipment.
Qualifications for the Dental Assistant:
- Education: High School diploma/GED required; Vocational/Technical School/Diploma Program preferred.
- Experience: 0-1 year of work-related experience.
- Skills: Bilingual in both English and Spanish (oral and written) preferred.
