Job Overview – Compounding Pharmacist (Overnight Shift):
Compensation: $62/hour
Location: Chester County, PA
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM


Our client is hiring a Compounding Pharmacist in Chester County, PA, to oversee overnight production of sterile and non-sterile medications. This role emphasizes precision in pharmaceutical calculations, aseptic technique, and compliance with regulatory standards in a high-volume setting. Ideal candidates are licensed pharmacists with compounding experience and familiarity with PK Software (The Compounder), QS-1, and third-party billing systems.

Responsibilities as the Compounding Pharmacist:
  • Medication Compounding & Accuracy: Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds according to formulation guidelines, ensuring precision and regulatory compliance.
  • Cleanroom & Aseptic Protocols: Maintain sterile environments through proper garbing, cleaning, and aseptic techniques.
  • Equipment Operation & Quality Control: Operate compounding equipment, conduct quality checks, and oversee accurate labeling and packaging.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete detailed records in line with SOPs and support ongoing licensure, audits, and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaboration & Patient Counseling: Supervise pharmacy staff, assist with fulfillment, and counsel patients on prescriptions and supplement use.
Qualifications for the Compounding Pharmacist:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy required.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Experience: Prior compounding experience in a sterile or non-sterile pharmacy setting, with overnight or high-volume production experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), The Compounder (PK software), and knowledge of QS-1 and third-party billing systems preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong time management, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
