Job Overview – Community Outreach Manager
Compensation: Up to $65,000/year
Location: Queens, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Community Outreach Manager in Queens, NY for our client, supporting street outreach, case management, and housing placement services for individuals experiencing homelessness. This leadership role oversees outreach operations, supervises frontline staff, and partners with community organizations and healthcare providers to deliver trauma-informed, client-centered services. The ideal candidate is a licensed social worker with supervisory experience and a passion for leading teams that support vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities as the Community Outreach Manager:
  • Program Leadership: Oversee daily outreach operations, supervise Team Leaders, and ensure high-quality service delivery across community outreach initiatives.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide coaching, structured supervision, and guidance to staff while promoting best practices in crisis intervention, case management, and housing placement.
  • Community Outreach: Support outreach strategies, respond to community needs, and coordinate services that connect individuals experiencing homelessness with housing and supportive resources.
  • Crisis Management: Provide leadership during critical incidents, support risk assessments and de-escalation efforts, and ensure timely documentation of incidents and interventions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with healthcare providers, government agencies, community organizations, and internal teams to coordinate services and improve client outcomes.
  • Program Operations: Monitor program performance, support compliance with organizational standards, and assist with operational initiatives that strengthen outreach and housing placement efforts.

Qualifications for the Community Outreach Manager:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license is required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience in social services, outreach, behavioral health, homelessness services, or a related setting is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Housing First, Harm Reduction, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and case management practices is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required, and experience with case management databases or similar systems is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, motivate teams, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English and Spanish and a valid driver's license are preferred.
