Job Overview – Clinical Supervisor (Child Welfare & Foster Care):
Compensation: $40/hour
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional evenings as needed)


TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Clinical Supervisor (Child Welfare & Foster Care) in the Bronx, NY for our client, supporting trauma-informed services for youth in foster care. This leadership role provides clinical and administrative supervision to sociotherapists while ensuring compliance with ACS and OCFS standards. You will oversee crisis response, guide behavioral and treatment planning, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support permanency, stability, and positive youth development.

Responsibilities as the Clinical Supervisor:
  • Clinical & Administrative Supervision: Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision to sociotherapists to ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery.
  • Crisis & Risk Management: Oversee timely and appropriate responses to crises and high-risk situations involving children and youth.
  • Compliance & Documentation Oversight: Review and approve clinical documentation, behavior plans, and records in Connections to ensure ACS and OCFS compliance.
  • Staff Development & Supervision: Conduct weekly individual supervision and monthly group supervision to support clinical practice and professional growth.
  • Trauma-Informed Care Leadership: Lead trauma-informed practice through oversight of behavior plans, foster parent collaboration, and implementation of Sanctuary Model principles.
Qualifications for the Clinical Supervisor:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or a related clinical discipline required.
  • Licensure: NYS LMSW preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience within a child welfare or foster care setting, plus prior direct service experience with adolescents.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of foster care practices, ACS and OCFS regulations, permanency planning, youth development, and mental health systems.
  • Systems Experience: Working knowledge of Connections (New York State child welfare database) required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Organized leader with strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and a trauma-informed, youth-centered approach.
