Job Overview – Clinical Counselor:
Take on an impactful role as a Clinical Counselor with our client in Philadelphia, PA, providing clinical support to individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. You will deliver therapeutic counseling, maintain a caseload, and facilitate both group and individual sessions to foster recovery and personal growth within a supportive environment.
Compensation: $23/hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Clinical Counselor:
Therapeutic Counseling: Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support participants in managing addiction and mental health challenges.
Treatment Planning: Partner with individuals to develop and implement recovery goals, ensuring alignment with medical, psychiatric, and substance abuse recovery needs.
Progress Monitoring: Evaluate residents’ progress, participate in clinical case conferences, and report updates to funders or referral sources during authorization reviews.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records and track treatment plans to meet program and funder guidelines.
Aftercare Support: Assist participants with aftercare planning and follow-up to ensure continuity of care and sustained recovery.
Qualifications for the Clinical Counselor:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer business software and electronic health care record systems.
Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to client-centered care.
