Job Overview - Clinical Coordinator (MSW):
We are looking for a Clinical Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY, to supervise a team of Case Managers and provide clinical direction and leadership. This entry-level supervisory role is perfect for recent Social Work graduates.

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $64,000 - $68,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday


Responsibilities of the Clinical Coordinator Include:
  • Supervision: Supervise and provide regular, structured supervision meetings for a team of approximately 4 Case Managers.
  • Strategy Promotion: Promote effective case management strategies following Housing First, Harm Reduction, CPI, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care models.
  • Service Plan Development: Develop and implement individual service plans; ensure documentation of client contact and progress is comprehensive and timely.
  • Client Assessment: Interview and assess potential clients, providing clinical direction and leadership.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and strategize solutions around client engagement and challenging behaviors.
  • Housing Placement: Promote a staff and resident culture that emphasizes housing placement as a measurement of success.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate delivery of care with multiple service providers, particularly outreach teams.
  • Conflict Management: Provide support and guidance to front line staff in managing difficult situations and successfully de-escalating conflict.
Qualifications of the Clinical Coordinator Include:
  • Licensure: NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) required, or must obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience with related populations; previous supervisory and administrative experience preferred.
  • Clinical Understanding: Thorough understanding of service delivery concepts including Housing First, client-centered motivational interviewing, and Harm Reduction models.
  • Crisis Intervention: Experience with crisis intervention, including risk assessments and incident management.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs; familiarity with Access-based databases is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required.
