Job Overview - Child Development Specialist (BSW):
Our client in Montgomery County, PA, is seeking a Child Development Specialist (BSW) to enhance children's developmental potential. You'll focus on parenting skills, early intervention, and prevention, while supervising staff and collaborating with external agencies to support mothers and children in treatment.
Compensation: $23/hour
Location: Montgomery County, PA
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Child Development Specialist:
Parenting Support: Facilitate weekly and monthly parenting groups to strengthen parenting skills.
Collaboration: Participate in clinical meetings and case consultations to coordinate care for mothers and children.
Treatment Planning: Oversee children's treatment plans and the implementation of developmental curriculums.
Documentation: Complete client session documentation and ensure compliance with state regulations.
Coordination: Ensure timely collection of birth records, social security cards, immunizations, and physical exams for children.
Escort Duties: Escort residents to appointments as assigned.
Qualifications for the Child Development Specialist:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, or a related field required.
Experience: 2+ years of Supervisory experience in a related field required.
Clearances: Must have Child Abuse, FBI, and PA State clearances.
