Job Overview - Charge Nurse (RN):
Do you have strong leadership skills and a background in GI procedures? Our client is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to join their healthcare team. This flexible role involves managing daily clinical staffing and ensuring efficient patient flow through the Endoscopy experience.

Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $47 - $57/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Flexible Shifts)


Responsibilities as the Charge Nurse (RN):
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Determine and schedule appropriate staffing assignments to support patient flow and assess clinical staffing needs.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide onsite expertise in clinical skills and EMR system support, assisting physicians and staff with learning and troubleshooting.
  • Patient Flow Monitoring: Monitor daily patient flow and recommend efficiency or customer service improvements.
  • Staff Training and Meetings: Conduct staff meetings, plan in-services to expand clinical knowledge, and ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
  • Management Support: Participate in interviewing, hiring, resolving employee issues, and providing input for performance reviews and CQI studies.
  • Operational Duties: Function as a staff nurse as needed, act as a nursing liaison, assist with supply management, update manuals, and conduct chart reviews.
Qualifications for the Charge Nurse (RN):
  • License: Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certification: ACLS Certified; if BCLS certified, willingness to become ACLS within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of managerial/charge experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting; previous GI experience in admitting, procedural, or recovery roles with current SGNA Membership.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and analytical skills, and computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite.
