Job Overview – Certified IV Pharmacy Technician:
Join our client as a Certified IV Pharmacy Technician in Dallas, TX. This temporary position focuses on sterile compounding, prescription processing, and pharmacy operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will collaborate with pharmacists, home healthcare providers, and patients to ensure accurate medication preparation and distribution.

Compensation: $22/hour
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM


Responsibilities as the Certified IV Pharmacy Technician:
  • Sterile Compounding & Preparation: Prepare IV medications and ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards for sterile compounding.
  • Prescription Processing: Accurately enter and verify prescription data, including medication orders, dosage calculations, and patient records.
  • Pharmacy Operations Support: Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area, ensuring proper handling of equipment and inventory.
  • Patient & Provider Communication: Coordinate with patients, pharmacists, and home healthcare agencies to facilitate prescription fulfillment and medication education.
  • Inventory & Quality Control: Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory, conduct expiration checks, and adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy procedures align with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
Qualifications for the Certified IV Pharmacy Technician:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of IV technician experience and 3 years of pharmacy technician experience required.
  • Licensure: Active Texas Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
  • Certification: Sterile Compounding Certification required.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of sterile compounding techniques, pharmacy software systems, and medication safety protocols.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Understanding of USP 797/800 guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and pharmacy best practices.
