Job Overview - Bilingual Mental Health Therapist (Spanish):
Take on an impactful role with our client in the Bronx, NY, as a Bilingual Mental Health Therapist. You’ll create and oversee behavior plans for youth in treatment foster homes, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and engage in fieldwork to support their well-being and development.
Compensation: $25/hour Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Bilingual Mental Health Therapist:
Behavior Plan Development: Create and monitor tailored behavior plans for therapeutic youth.
Field Engagement: Conduct regular home visits and direct interactions with youth and caregivers.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation, including progress notes and assessments.
Crisis Response: Provide on-the-spot crisis intervention when necessary.
Community Resources: Build and utilize community relationships to support families and youth.
Qualifications for the Bilingual Mental Health Therapist:
Language: Bilingual English/Spanish required!
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
Experience: Experience working with children and youth (foster care background preferred).
Skills: Strong communication skills and proficient in building relationships with youth and families.
Fieldwork Commitment: Must be comfortable with field visits and working directly in the community.
